Editorial standards

These standards govern Mykonea’s intended public operation and apply to human and AI-assisted production.

Accuracy, neutrality and Greece-focused public interest

Mykonea is Greece-focused and treats the wellbeing and legitimate public interest of people in Greece as a core editorial concern. That focus never justifies hiding facts, distorting evidence or partisan advocacy. Political coverage uses consistent evidentiary standards and distinguishes verified facts, attributed claims, analysis and opinion.

Sources, rights and independent synthesis

We use sources whose identity and permitted use can be recorded. Sources are credited with links where appropriate; attribution alone is not permission to reproduce text or media. Mykonea creates independently worded summaries or syntheses and does not treat AI paraphrasing as a substitute for permission, documentation or original reporting.

AI-assisted production and translation

AI-assisted drafting or translation is disclosed where relevant. Automated checks can miss errors. Sensitive political, legal, health, crime, allegation-based and other high-risk stories require stronger review and are not treated as independently verified merely because an AI system processed them. AI illustrations are labelled and must never be presented as documentary evidence of a real event.

Corrections

Material corrections should state what changed and when. Published article URLs should remain stable where possible, and revision history supports accountable editing. Send a correction request with the article link and supporting evidence. Contact the publication
