Milos Municipality: Emergency water restriction due to desalination unit issue
The Municipality of Milos has issued an emergency appeal to residents and business owners to limit water usage to the absolute minimum, following a halt in supply from the desalination plant due to weather conditions.
A significant water supply issue has emerged in Milos, as the scheduled delivery of water from the desalination plant to the municipal network has been interrupted. According to an official announcement by the municipal authority, the supply failure began the previous day and is attributed to prevailing weather conditions in the area.
Despite repeated contacts and pressure from the municipality to resolve the issue immediately, normal supply has not yet been restored. Consequently, local authorities are urging all residents, business owners, and visitors to limit water consumption strictly to essential needs and avoid any unnecessary waste to preserve current reserves.
