AE Mykonos wins Cyclades derby 1-0 against Pannaxiakos

A single first-half goal by Zografakis decided the match of the 2nd round, placing Mykonos at the top of the group table.
In the match that concluded the 2nd round of the 9th group of Gamma Ethniki, AE Mykonos defeated Pannaxiakos 1-0. The game was heavily affected by strong winds, which hindered the efforts of both teams' players, resulting in a tight match.
The only goal of the match was scored in the first half. Following a throw-in from the left side, Zografakis received the ball inside the area and beat goalkeeper Karagiozis with a calm left-foot shot, sending AE Mykonos to the dressing rooms with the lead.
In the second half, Vangelis Chantes' team altered its formation to focus on defense. Pannaxiakos took control and tried to equalize, with manager Dimitris Terezopoulos making substitutions to boost the attack. Despite increased pressure in the final minutes, the Naxos team could not score. Pannaxiakos expressed strong complaints regarding the refereeing, specifically about Stratis not being sent off with a second yellow card after stopping a counter-attack.
With this result, AE Mykonos reached six points after two matches and shares the top of the 9th group with Ilysiakos. Pannaxiakos left without any points from this fixture, keeping the performance and the pressure applied during the second half as positive takeaways.
