Cyclades: At the Peak of Fuel Prices Nationwide
Residents and visitors in the Cyclades face significant financial pressure as the region records the highest average fuel prices in the country.
The Cyclades hold the negative first place nationwide in fuel prices, significantly impacting household budgets. The average price of 95-octane unleaded fuel in the region reached 2.414 euros per liter on Tuesday, September 22, while the nationwide average stood at 2.199 euros.
The price gap is also evident in other fuel types. In the Cyclades, 100-octane unleaded reached an average of 2.599 euros per liter, and diesel fuel stood at 2.397 euros per liter, marking the highest rates in the country. Nationally, the respective average prices were lower, at 2.421 euros for 100-octane and 2.227 euros for diesel.
High prices are also noted in other island regions, with the Dodecanese following in second place with an average price for 95-octane at 2.317 euros per liter. Conversely, the lowest average prices for standard unleaded were recorded in Florina at 2.152 euros per liter and Serres at 2.167 euros.
