Milos: Urgent Call to Limit Water Consumption Due to Desalination Issue

The Municipality of Milos issued an emergency announcement calling on residents and local businesses to immediately restrict water consumption. According to the municipal authority, the scheduled water supply from the desalination plant has been interrupted since Sunday, September 27, affecting the island's water distribution.

The municipality has made repeated contacts to restore operations, though normal supply has not yet been reinstated. Based on the official briefing received by the municipality, the inability to supply water is attributed to the prevailing weather conditions.

Until the issue is resolved, citizens are requested to avoid all unnecessary consumption to preserve available reserves. The local authority noted that it is pressing for a swift restoration of the supply and will issue a new update once the situation is normalized.
