The visitable farm in Vivlos welcomes school students from October 19 to 23, offering an introduction to traditional crops and the Greek black pig.

"The Little Farm of Naxos", located in the Toubakades area of Vivlos, is opening its doors to school students as part of the South Aegean – Cyclades Open Farm Days 2026 events. The scheduled school visits will take place from Monday, October 19 to Friday, October 23, between 10:00 and 12:30, with free admission.

During the visits, children will experience the world of farming, getting to know traditional varieties of the island, such as the Naxos potato and the green eggplant, as well as indigenous animal breeds, including the Greek black pig. They will also have the opportunity to see crops of mushrooms, edible flowers, and exotic species adapted to the area's climate, such as passion fruit, starfruit, tamarillo, and sugarcane.

The specific visitable farm utilizes natural production methods to cultivate plant species from both traditional local seeds and seeds from other regions. This initiative is part of the South Aegean Region's new agrotourism and gastronomy framework, co-organized with Open Farm from October 19 to 25, aiming to connect residents and visitors with local producers in the Cyclades.
