Naxos: Nine-Day Cultural Event at Bazeos Tower Centered on the Myth of the Labyrinth
Art of Life Collective presents an art exhibition, workshops for children and adults, and dance performances from October 3 to 11.
A multidimensional cultural event titled "Signifying the Labyrinth" is being hosted at Bazeos Tower in Naxos, from Saturday, October 3 to Sunday, October 11. Organized by the Art of Life Collective, the event is inspired by the myth of Theseus and Ariadne, featuring an art exhibition, workshops, yoga sessions, as well as dance and music performances.
The art exhibition, curated by Dr. Aikaterini Triantafyllopoulou, will remain open daily from 10:00 to 17:00, showcasing works by artists Alkistis Panagiotopoulou, Irini Apsychou, Marsy Syrengela, and Freideriki Papastavropoulou. The opening ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 3 at 17:00, featuring a speech and a guided tour, followed by a musical performance at 18:30 with free admission for the public.
On Sunday, October 4, the program continues with a movement workshop for adults and a music-movement workshop for children aged 5 to 7 in the morning, while the dance-drama "Mayu" will be presented at 18:00 featuring Olga Spyraki, Neoklis Neofytidis, and Athanasia Priovolou. Additionally, afternoon Yoga Science classes with Gong will be held on October 5 and 7, while a half-day experiential tour for English-speaking visitors is scheduled for October 7 and 9.
Saturday, October 10 is dedicated to adult workshops, including glass talisman creation, an introduction to marble, and painting workshops. The event concludes on Sunday, October 11 with painting workshops for children and teens in the morning, followed by the closing celebration from 17:00 to 21:00.
