Naxos: Registrations Open for Municipal Philharmonic Orchestra for Children and Adults

Children and adults can now register for the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Municipality of Naxos and Small Cyclades to receive music education, learn an instrument, and gradually join the orchestra and its activities.

No prior musical knowledge is required to participate in the lessons. The curriculum includes music theory and solfège, woodwinds (such as flute, clarinet, and saxophone), brass instruments (including trumpet, trombone, tuba, French horn, and euphonium), as well as percussion instruments.

According to the Municipality of Naxos and Small Cyclades, this initiative continues the effort to strengthen the Philharmonic, which began in 2024 with the expansion of the teaching staff. Training is led by conductor Maria Eleftheriou, Alkiviadis Konstantopoulos (brass), Tasos Tourtounis and Haris Konstantopoulos (woodwinds), and Christos Tourtounis (percussion).

Interested individuals can submit their application digitally by completing the relevant online form, while for additional information, the public can contact the telephone number 6984297949.
