Over 3.7 Million Euros Distributed to 13 Cyclades Municipalities from Cruise Fees

Approved funds cover the period from May to July 2026, with Mykonos and Santorini receiving the largest shares for infrastructure projects.

Significant funding exceeding 3.7 million euros is being allocated to 13 municipalities of the Cyclades from the cruise terminal fee revenues, following a decision by the Ministry of Interior issued on October 8, 2026. The funding concerns the collected revenues from the three-month period of May, June, and July 2026.

The approved funds are intended exclusively for the construction and improvement of infrastructure, as well as for strengthening the tourism product of the beneficiary municipalities. The disbursement of the amounts will be processed via financial order by the Ministry of Interior to the Consignment Deposits and Loans Fund.

The distribution of funds among the 13 Cycladic municipalities shows major variations, reflecting the respective revenues of each area. Specifically approved were: €1,924,584.95 for the Municipality of Mykonos, €1,736,481.99 for the Municipality of Thera, €42,830.81 for the Municipality of Syros-Hermoupolis, €20,057.14 for the Municipality of Milos, €7,702.18 for the Municipality of Paros, €3,484.19 for the Municipality of Amorgos, €1,581.46 for the Municipality of Folegandros, €1,416.18 for the Municipality of Naxos and Lesser Cyclades, €869.55 for the Municipality of Sifnos, €623.95 for the Municipality of Serifos, €257.22 for the Municipality of Tinos, €246.26 for the Municipality of Ios, and €181.88 for the Municipality of Kea.
