First Philharmonic and Choral Festival in Santorini
A new cultural event begins in Santorini, featuring musical ensembles from various regions of Greece, with free admission for the public.
The Municipality of Thera is organizing the 1st Philharmonic & Choral Festival, which will take place on Friday, October 2, and Saturday, October 3, 2026. The main performances will be hosted in the events hall of the EPAL of Thera with free admission for the audience.
The program for the first day begins on Friday at 19:30 at the EPAL of Thera. It will feature the Philharmonic and Chorus of the Municipality of Thera, the Stylida Music Club Choir, the Cantilena Choirs of Chania, and the Youth Choir of the Ioannis Manioudakis Conservatory. At the end of the evening, all ensembles will collaborate to perform the Ballad of Ouris.
On Saturday, the activities will start at 11:00 with a parade of the musical ensembles in Fira, starting from the Metropolitan Church. In the evening at 19:30, the stage of the EPAL will host the Mixed Choir of the Municipality of Heraklion, the Viva Voce Children and Youth Choir of Voula, the Children's Choir & Music Ensembles of the Municipality of Thera, as well as a collaboration of choir associations from Serres and Sidirokastro.
