Santorini: 20% Drop in Scheduled Cruise Ship Arrivals for October

Total scheduled arrivals for the month stand at 85, while the estimated number of passengers shows a decline of 15.96%.
With five cruise ships, October's traffic began in Santorini, marking the first arrivals of 85 scheduled in total for this month. The vessels Celestyal Journey, Celebrity Ascent, Viking Star, Evrima, and Celestyal Discovery docked at the island on October 1st.
According to data from the Municipal Port Fund of Thira, the number of scheduled arrivals is down by 20.56% compared to the same month last year, when 107 arrivals were recorded. A smaller decline of 15.96% is observed in the estimated passenger count, projected at 119,461 people compared to 142,141 last October.
During the month, the only days with no scheduled arrivals are Friday, October 9th, Saturday, October 17th, and Friday, October 30th. On all other days, between one and six ships are expected daily in the caldera, with the estimated number of visitors remaining below the daily limit of 8,000 people.
