Santorini: Merchants Association Congratulates GEOTHIRA on Volcanoes Event

In a letter addressed to the municipal enterprise GEOTHIRA, the Merchants and Professionals Association of Thira expressed its congratulations on the outcome of this year's Volcanoes event, which took place on September 19. The Association described it as a high-level organization, highlighting the drone show and the fireworks witnessed by residents and visitors.

Ahead of the upcoming tourist season, the Association emphasized the need to immediately start the promotion and advertising campaign for the next event to leverage its momentum. At the same time, they expressed readiness for future collaborations to support the local community and economy.

According to GEOTHIRA's official planning for the current municipal term, the Volcanoes event will consistently take place on the third Saturday of September, aiming to extend the tourist season. Based on this schedule, next year's event is slated for Saturday, September 18, 2027.
