Maintenance focusing on clearing roadside verges and drainage ditches is underway, alongside new warning signage for drivers.

Road cleaning operations are currently underway along the network connecting Xinara and Loutra on the island of Tinos. The intervention focuses on clearing the roadside verges and stormwater drainage ditches, spanning from the edge of the asphalt to the drainage channel. The works aim to remove overgrown weeds, reeds, soil, and stones, ensuring rainwater can flow freely toward culverts instead of accumulating on the road surface.

A triangular warning sign has been placed at the site of the works to alert drivers during the day. Additionally, the verge in front of a roadside traffic mirror on a sharp bend of the route has been cleared of overgrown dry weeds that previously obstructed visibility.

According to Natasha Deligianni-Asprou, Coordinator of the Regional Unit of Tinos, similar clearing works are taking place across the provincial road network, specifically from Chora to Triantaros, from Kechrovouni Monastery to Tzados, and from Tripotamos to Karia. Road marking works across the provincial network are scheduled to follow once these clearings are complete.
