Funding of €6.4 Million for Restoration of Inactive Landfills in Mykonos, Tinos, and Sifnos

A funding call of €6.4 million from the Ministry of Environment and Energy's Sectoral Development Program is being issued for the restoration of six inactive uncontrolled waste disposal sites. Among these are locations in Mykonos, Tinos, and Sifnos, with the respective municipalities set as beneficiaries.

The specific sites have already received the necessary environmental licensing. The completion of the restoration works will halt EU fines amounting to €480,000 annually for all six inactive sites.
