The municipalities of Naxos and Amorgos urge residents to be cautious due to heavy rainfall and gale-force winds reaching up to 9 Beaufort.

An emergency warning for dangerous weather conditions has been issued for the southern Aegean region, effective from Friday, October 2, 2026, until the afternoon of Sunday, October 4, 2026. Local civil protection services are on alert due to forecasted heavy rainfall, storms, and locally severe gale-force winds.

According to announcements from the Municipalities of Amorgos and Naxos & Lesser Cyclades, northeasterly winds of 8 to 9 Beaufort will blow in the Aegean from Friday until Saturday afternoon, October 3, 2026, while the severe weather will also affect Crete and the Dodecanese.
