Storm AGNETA brings heavy rainfall and thunderstorms to the Cyclades through late Monday afternoon, November 2.

The Cyclades have been placed under an orange weather alert for Monday, November 2, 2026, according to an updated emergency warning issued by the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (EMY). Storm AGNETA, linked to a low-pressure system moving east from southern Italy, is expected to bring locally severe rainfall and thunderstorms across the island group until late in the afternoon.

The thunderstorms in the Cyclades may be accompanied by frequent lightning and localized hail. The official warning applies to the Cyclades region as a whole, without specifying particular islands expecting the heaviest impacts.

According to the bulletin, the Cyclades are not included among the regions forecast to experience severe weather on Tuesday, November 3. For travel safety during intense weather, authorities recommend avoiding flooded roads and stream crossings, as well as staying clear of exposed outdoor areas during lightning activity.
