Tinos Establishes Its First Sustainable Experiences and Alternative Tourism Office

The Social Cooperative Enterprise 'To Batiki' has announced the establishment of the first Sustainable Experiences and Alternative Tourism Office in Tinos. The initiative is being implemented following the cooperative's integration into the grant action for Social and Solidarity Economy Entities of the South Aegean Region.

With this financial support, the entity assumes the role of a local Destination Management Organization (DMO). The goal is to establish a permanent mechanism that highlights local cultural and natural heritage, while focusing on extending the tourism season beyond peak months.

The planned portfolio includes thematic hiking activities, cultural and folklore programs, sustainable agritourism, as well as workshops on traditional crafts such as marble crafting and dry-stone masonry. To engage with the local community, the cooperative plans to host workshops titled 'From Local Knowledge to the Living Experience of Tinos', with dates to be announced soon.
