Sustainable Experiences and Alternative Tourism Office Established in Tinos

The Social Cooperative Enterprise 'To Batiki' is establishing the first organized Sustainable Experiences and Alternative Tourism Office in Tinos. The initiative was integrated into the South Aegean 2021–2027 regional program under the grant action for Social and Solidarity Economy entities.

The organization begins operating as a local Destination Management Organization (DMO). Its goal is to set up a permanent mechanism leveraging the island's identity, focusing particularly on months outside the summer peak to extend the tourism season.

The planned offerings cover cultural heritage, hiking, gastronomy, and traditional craft workshops such as marble crafting and dry stone walling. Additionally, workshops for the local community titled 'From Local Knowledge to the Living Experience of Tinos' are scheduled to take place.
