Peristerionas Tinos Completed Its Journey in Rising Stars Tournament in Drapetsona
The youth team of Peristerionas Tinos was defeated 89-49 by Diagoras Rodou in Drapetsona, ending their campaign in the second phase of the Rising Stars National Championship.
The journey of B.C. Peristerionas Tinos youth basketball team in the Rising Stars National Championship concluded in the first game of the second phase. The team from Tinos was defeated 89-49 by Diagoras Rodou on Friday, September 25, at the Drapetsona indoor arena.
Diagoras Rodou controlled the tempo from the start, leading 34-15 in the first quarter. Peristerionas responded in the second quarter with a partial score of 12-10, making it 44-27 at halftime, but Diagoras pulled away decisively in the third quarter with a 28-12 run.
For Peristerionas Tinos, coached by Antonis Vidalis, Velalopoulos scored 17 points, Varsamis 11, Kritikos 9, Kavoudis 7, Chalaris 4, and Markouizos 1. The team's management described the trip as short and tiring but also as a valuable basketball experience for its athletes.
