The Municipality of Tinos has submitted a funding proposal totaling 400,000 euros under the LEADER program call managed by the Cyclades Development Company, aimed at upgrading and modernizing the athletic facilities at the Vindsi Municipal Gymnasium.
The plan includes constructing a new fence around the existing football pitch, installing a 50-seat grandstand and team benches, as well as creating an outdoor gym. Planned site maintenance work also covers painting, floor repairs, and enhanced accessibility infrastructure for individuals with disabilities.
For athletics, the proposal includes a warm-up area with synthetic flooring and a 50-meter 7-lane track, alongside dedicated facilities for long jump, high jump, and shot put.
This development reflects the official submission stage of the funding application; final approval and allocation of funds remain the next steps required for implementation.
