TV adaptation of Syros-set 'The Great Chimaera' secured international distribution deals

The TV adaptation of 'The Great Chimaera' has secured international broadcast agreements in the United States, Australia, Italy, Spain, Iceland, and Israel. This development follows the series' success on the ERTFLIX platform, where it recorded over 5 million views across its six episodes.

Based on the novel by M. Karagatsis, the plot is set in Syros during the 1930s. The story follows Marina, a young Italian woman who moves to the island after marrying the Greek shipowner Giannis.

The series was co-produced by ERT, while negotiations remain ongoing for distribution in additional international markets.
