Corrections Policy
Accuracy is a core requirement of Mykonea. This policy explains how reported errors are assessed and corrected.

Reporting an error
Readers, sources and people mentioned in an article may contact the publication about a factual error, incorrect attribution or materially misleading statement.
Reports should ideally include the article URL, the disputed point and relevant evidence.
Assessment
Material requests are checked against available source material and evidence.
Disagreement with an accurately attributed claim does not by itself establish an error.
What we correct
- Incorrect names, numbers, dates and locations.
- Incorrect or materially misleading attribution.
- A significant omission that changes the meaning.
- Incorrect links, sources or attribution information.
Minor changes
Spelling, typographical and formatting changes may be made without a separate notice when they do not alter meaning.
Material corrections
When a change materially alters an article, Mykonea aims to make the correction clear to readers.
Dates
The original publication date is not changed merely to make an old article appear new.
A substantial later update may display a separate updated date.
Removal
Complete removal is exceptional and may be considered where a serious legal, ethical, safety or factual problem cannot reasonably be resolved through correction.
Transparent correction is preferred to silent deletion where possible.
Right of reply
A documented response or material new information from a person or organisation directly involved in a story may be incorporated with appropriate attribution.
