Donoussa: Farewell to Blue Star Naxos – Blue Star Delos Takes Over the Route
After nearly two decades serving the island, the ferry connection to Donoussa is taken over by Blue Star Delos.
On the morning of Thursday, November 5, residents and local representatives gathered at the port of Donoussa to say goodbye to the ferry Blue Star Naxos, which served the island for nearly 20 years. Starting on the same day, the ferry connection to Donoussa is taken over by Blue Star Delos.
During the ship's departure from the port, the Municipal Community of Donoussa and the Environmental and Cultural Association "Poseidon" presented commemorative gifts to the crew. The captain returned the greeting to the gathered crowd by turning the bow of the vessel toward the settlement of Donoussa.
In a statement, the Municipal Community of Donoussa thanked the crew for covering the island's transport and supply needs over the years, while welcoming Blue Star Delos, which replaces it on the route.
