Feast of Saint Margaret at the Shrine of the Sacred Heart in Exombourgo, Tinos

The Shrine of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Exombourgo, Tinos, celebrates the feast of Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque on Friday, October 16. According to the invitation from the Catholic Archdiocese of Naxos–Tinos–Andros–Mykonos, the schedule of religious services begins at 17:00 with the Holy Hour and continues at 18:00 with the Holy Mass.

The feast is closely linked to the devotion to the Sacred Heart, as Saint Margaret Mary experienced the apparitions of Jesus at the convent of Paray-le-Monial in France between 1673 and 1675. The church at the foot of Exombourgo was named 'Sacred Heart of Jesus' in 1897 by the Jesuit Father Aloysius Destro and serves as a major pilgrimage site.
