Restart of School Recycling Marathon in Syros for 2026–2027

The Municipality of Syros-Hermoupolis is proceeding with the restart of the school recycling program for the 2026–2027 academic year, in cooperation with Followgreen. The initiative returns to the island's school units following its first implementation during the previous school year.

As part of the program, students and teachers use special collection equipment installed in schools for source separation of waste. The progress and performance of each school unit are recorded digitally via the Followgreen platform, allowing citizens to stay informed and support the students' efforts.

By continuing this initiative, the municipal authority aims to familiarize students with proper waste management and foster environmental awareness that extends from the school environment to the wider local community.
