Tinos Port Authority Issues Advisory for Severe Weather

The Tinos Port Authority announced that severe weather conditions are expected on Sunday, September 27, and Monday, September 28, 2026, based on an emergency bulletin from the National Meteorological Service. According to the official update, heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and north-northeasterly winds reaching 7 to 8 Beaufort are expected to affect the maritime and coastal areas of the island.

Vessel owners and operators are urged to secure and inspect their boats immediately, avoid maritime activities, and remain prepared to assist if needed. Additionally, citizens are advised to avoid unnecessary movements near ports, piers, and beaches due to the risk of accidents from rough seas. Local regulations also prohibit recreational water sports during these adverse conditions.
