Sifnos: Date Change for 'My Cistern, My Knowledge' Event Due to Piraeus Port Strike
The main presentation is moved to Sunday, November 1, while the scheduled walk along trail 5 has been canceled.
The 'My Cistern, My Knowledge' event at the Apollonia Junior High and High School of Sifnos 'Nikolaos G. Probonas' has been rescheduled for Sunday, November 1, 2026, at 10:00, following an emergency dockworkers' strike at the port of Piraeus.
As part of the ST.E.R.N.A. project, funded with 49,180 euros by the Green Fund, the event will present telemetry results from 10 cisterns on the island, proposals for the Local Water Action Plan, and the pilot implementation for the school's cistern.
Meanwhile, the theatrical performance 'Paths' by the UrbanDig Project will take place as scheduled on Saturday, October 31, at 19:30 at the Prokos Institution with free entry, while the planned walk on trail 5 has been canceled.
