First Warning Signs for Stray Animals Placed in Ktikados, Tinos
The initiative by the Tinos Strays group with the support of the Municipality of Tinos will expand to other areas of the island.
Yellow warning signs stating "DRIVE SLOWLY – CATS AROUND" have been installed at the entrance of Ktikados village in Tinos, placed directly below the 30 km/h speed limit sign.
The action is an initiative of the Tinos Strays group, which cares for the island's stray animals, in collaboration with the Municipality of Tinos. According to group representative Dimitra Foskolou, the installation aims to prevent road accidents and raise driver awareness.
Similar signs are scheduled to be placed at additional locations across the Tinos road network where stray animals frequently cross.
