The decision follows delays in submitting final payment requests for projects related to accessible beaches or diving tourism.

The Ministry of Tourism has proceeded with the revocation of funding approvals for 43 investment projects under two Recovery Fund programs. Among the beneficiaries whose approvals were revoked are the Municipalities of Paros and Thira.

The programs facing funding revocations include 25 projects for accessible beaches and 18 for diving and underwater tourism. The common reason cited for the revocations is the failure to submit final payment requests within the prescribed deadlines.

Apart from the two Cycladic municipalities, the revocations affect private businesses and other municipalities across Greece, including Kalymnos, Lefkada, Nafplio, and Halkidiki. For the Municipalities of Paros and Thira, it remains unspecified which exact program each participated in, the corresponding funding amounts, and whether completing the interventions will now require alternative resources.
