On September 24, 1988, at the Holy Church of Saint Demetrios in Thessaloniki, Chrysanthos Theodosopoulos passed away. The Pontian protopsaltis was one of the most influential representatives of the liturgical chanting art during the 20th century.
His path and work left an indelible mark, sealing the Byzantine musical tradition of the city of Thessaloniki.
