A double waterspout formed on Sunday afternoon, September 27, in the sea area between Koufonisi and Keros. This rare meteorological phenomenon was captured on video during intense weather activity in the Small Cyclades region.
The phenomenon coincided with bad weather affecting the Cyclades. According to the Emergency Weather Bulletin by Hellenic National Meteorological Service (EMY), heavy rainfall, storms, and potential hailstorms were forecasted until the afternoon, while northeastern winds of 7 to 8 Beaufort were blowing in the Aegean.
