Municipality of Mykonos: Unanimous cancellation of erroneous TAP tax debts by Municipal Committee

The Municipal Committee of the Municipality of Mykonos unanimously approved the cancellation of confirmed Real Estate Tax (TAP) debts and associated surcharges during its session on October 21, 2026. The decisions were made following proposals from the Financial Service and relative applications by citizens.

The first case (decision 263/2026) concerns the cancellation of 1,376.34 euros for the years 2022 to 2024, which had been charged as TAP debt for a non-electrified residence in the areas of Merchia and Alevritis. Cross-checks by the Revenue Department showed that the properties were normally electrified under specific supply numbers.

The second case (decision 262/2026) concerns the cancellation of 149.22 euros for the same period, regarding a TAP charge on a non-electrified residence of 140 sq.m. in the area of Kardamida. The inspection by the competent department established that this property also had an active electricity supply.

The cancellations were executed in accordance with statutory provisions regarding erroneous entries in municipal tax assessment rolls concerning taxable material.
