Kypseli of Arta: An Autumn Destination in the Heart of Tzoumerka
Kypseli, also known as Chosepsi, is a mountainous destination in the Athamania Mountains of Arta, offering traditional architecture and rich nature.
The village of Kypseli, which was formerly called Chosepsi until its renaming in 1962, is located in the heart of Tzoumerka in Arta. Built at an altitude of 600 meters in the Athamania Mountains, it lies approximately 50 kilometers from the city of Arta, serving as a traditional destination surrounded by fir trees and springs.
The settlement is structured between two hills and is divided into four neighborhoods, which include Loutsa, Kalloni, Evangelistria, Roupakia, and Ai-Giorgis. In the village square, traditional cafes stand under plane trees, while the area also features a Museum of Folk Art and Life, founded by Pantelis Chr. Karalis.
