Traditional Music and Dance Promenade in Vothonas, Santorini
A special traditional promenade is organized in the settlement of Vothonas, with the participation of four local cultural associations.
The series of traditional promenades highlighting Santorini's villages continues on Friday, September 25, in Vothonas. The meeting is scheduled for 18:30 at the local 5x5 football field, which serves as the starting point for the musical and dance route through the alleys of the settlement.
The musical accompaniment will be provided by Argyris Arvanitis on violin and Antonakis Xagoraris on lute, with the friendly participation of Panagiotis Pelekanos also on violin. The dance groups of four local cultural associations are co-organizing the event: the Vothonas Association "Panagia i Sergena", the Kamari Association "Pagkratios", the Thira Association "Agios Efstathios", and the Akrotiri Association.
Dressed in traditional costumes, members of the associations will perform local dances and songs, aiming to bring Santorini's rich musical and dance heritage to life within the neighborhoods of Vothonas.
