Naxos: Scheduled Power Outages in Villages and Settlements This Saturday
HEDNO has announced electricity outages for Saturday, October 3, affecting a large part of northern and mountainous Naxos due to network maintenance works.
Scheduled power outages will take place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, across several villages and areas of Naxos. The service interruptions are due to necessary technical works carried out by HEDNO on the island's electricity grid.
The first outage is scheduled from 08:30 to 09:30 in the morning, affecting extensive areas in northern and mountainous Naxos. Specifically, power will be cut in Melanes, Kynidaros, Moni, Koronos, Keramoti, Lyonas, Argokoili, Komiaki, Skado, Mesi, Apollonas, Chilia Vrysi, Kampos Komiakise, Myrisi, Engares, Galini, the KTEO area in Xirokampos, and Agios Ioannis Galanadou. Additionally, Melanes will experience a second planned outage from 10:30 to 13:30.
HEDNO points out that power may be restored before the scheduled completion times without prior notice. Therefore, consumers must consider all electrical installations to be continuously live. For safety reasons, approaching conductors or other network elements on the ground is strictly prohibited, and residents and business owners are advised to take precautions to protect their electrical appliances.
