The Tinos Port Authority urges vessel owners to secure their boats immediately and advises the public to avoid coastal areas due to dangerous weather conditions.

The Tinos Port Authority has issued a safety announcement for mariners and residents following an emergency weather bulletin from the National Meteorological Service warning of gale-force northern and northeastern winds affecting the island's marine and coastal areas.

Vessel owners and operators are requested to immediately secure their boats, remain on standby to assist if needed, and avoid any maritime activity. Furthermore, recreational water sports are prohibited under these adverse conditions, and local fishing associations have been asked to notify their members immediately.

The public is strongly advised to avoid unnecessary travel near ports, beaches, and piers due to the high risk of accidents from surging waves. For emergencies, the Tinos Port Authority remains on high alert and can be reached at 2283022348, 2283022220, or VHF Channel 12.
