Significant Increase in Ferry Passenger Traffic to the Cyclades in Summer 2026

A significant increase in ferry passenger traffic was recorded during the summer period from June to August 2026, with travelers choosing both popular destinations and smaller islands. According to booking data from the online platform Ferryscanner, the Cyclades maintained their top position in passenger preferences, driven mainly by foreign visitors using digital bookings for high-speed vessels.

Tinos topped the list with an 8% increase, while Naxos saw an impressive jump of 21.2% and Syros grew by 19.8%. Paros recorded an 18.3% increase, Mykonos saw a positive trend of +5.6%, and Andros and Kythnos were also included in the top ten destinations.
