Athens Euroleague Final Four 2026 generates 26.75 million euros in economic and social impact
An official report by the Organizing Committee for the 2026 Euroleague Final Four in Athens shows the event generated a total impact of 26.75 million euros.
The Organizing Committee of the Athens 2026 Euroleague Final Four has completed its economic, social, and environmental impact report. According to the data, the total impact reached 26.75 million euros, with 21.08 million euros representing direct economic impact and 5.66 million euros in estimated social value.
The impact assessment was conducted by a specialized firm using the international 'Event Impacts methodology'. The results show that for every 1 euro spent, the event returned 2.62 euros, while 11.58 million euros were funneled into the local economy.
The sports event attracted a total of 17,828 spectators and visitors from 27 countries. Out of the 3,958 fans who traveled from abroad, 77.5% stated that they visited Athens exclusively for the event.
