Meeting of the Mayor of Syros-Hermoupolis with the Ambassador of Ireland
The Mayor of Syros-Hermoupolis, Alexis Athanasiou, met with the Ambassador of Ireland to Greece, Ciara O’ Floinn, on the occasion of the AnimaSyros International Festival.
A meeting took place in Hermoupolis between the Mayor of Syros-Hermoupolis, Alexis Athanasiou, and the Ambassador of Ireland to Greece, Ciara O’ Floinn. The reason for the Ambassador's visit to the island was the AnimaSyros International Animation Festival, where Ireland is this year's honored country.
During their meeting, they discussed the conclusion of the current tourism season, as well as prospects for further strengthening bilateral relations between Syros and Ireland.
Mr. Athanasiou expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador for her presence and her willingness to cooperate. At the same time, he presented her with the commemorative medal marking 200 years since the founding of Hermoupolis, as a symbolic souvenir of her visit.
