A second teacher is being placed at the Primary School of Chora in Amorgos, fulfilling a request submitted by the school's Parents and Guardians Association. The development was announced by the Municipality of Amorgos following actions taken by the local authority.
The outcome follows a meeting in Athens between the Mayor of Amorgos, Eleftherios Karaiskos, and the Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, Sofia Zacharaki, where school staffing issues on the island were raised.
