A large crowd of believers gathered in Paris to welcome Pope Leo, who traveled through the Champs-Élysées in the popemobile heading towards Place de la Concorde. The Pontiff greeted the gathered crowd, many of whom had arrived at the location several hours earlier.
The religious service commenced around 16:00 Greece time, with the attending crowd stretching to the Arc de Triomphe. According to the authorities, over 600,000 people attended, while the Vatican estimated the presence at 700,000 faithful, who watched the ceremony through giant screens.
